About Symbian
Symbian was formed in June 1998 produces and is a sophisticated, powerful and reliable operating system, written mainly in C++, designed for use in small battery-powered devices with extensive communications capabilities. Advanced mobile phones will come in many forms and Symbian differentiates between there various user interfaces in the form of phones series (e.g. series 60; series 80, UIQ) and applications developed for a particular series of phone are compatible with all phones of that type.
